Morning Breath

The green dream
true sweet rain
of blue morning
sigh welcome
lonely souls
give cover to grief
give time for pause
and the chance
to try again

  2. I like your brief poems Marian. You put it out there without all the long lingering descriptives that go on and on. We must address grief in some way during our life. "the chance to try again". Yes ma'am.

  5. Lovely. Yes, tears are healing, just as rain is nourishing.

  6. I smiled at the ambiguity of the title – stale mouth or the deep breath one takes on waking. But oh, the colours! I felt the grief, and the hope in the chance to try again.
