April Epitaph

When I die
plant obscene dahlias
in my backyard
throw a loud rock show
invite all the neighbors
the police
everyone I ever knew
make sure my cat is there
let the red wine
undrunk while I was alive
flow freely
fly poems on paper airplanes
from Mount Tom
and a crop duster
tugging an aerial banner

  4. Oh, I just LOVE this epitaph... so cool.. I love the obscene dahlias, and red wine tribute to a poet who made it through a whole month of writing. I am especially thrilled that you included my wordlist as one of your sources of inspiration.
