Observing Love, Broken Things

I threw open a window
to melancholia
of cold and rainy spring

Lonely breezes blow in
like electricity
raising gooseflesh
straggled strands of hair

All I can think is
there’s so much love
yet everything is broken

  5. At least, there is love... even if that makes the whole thing more painful most of the time.

  6. Yes...the cold wet and rain does not help the situation either.
    Good poem.

  7. You show us the bitter and the sweet - how they tangle like wind-tossed hair.

  8. And I do wonder if we should leave the window closed...

  9. Broken, out of kilter and awry, but love persists, like beauty. Lovely poem.
