Day 3 of NaPoWriMo! Magaly’s prompt in the Imaginary Garden today is SPEAKING FOR SPRING’S STILLBORN SPROUTS
Oooh! Double cinquain! You always make it look so stylish. I love the image of open thighs.
ReplyDeleteI forgot all about this form (and how much I like it). I can't wait to steal it (again).
ReplyDeleteIf I were a plant, I think I would certainly speak like this one does. It would be difficult not to be bitter after being treated like something of no consequence.
I second the ooh. This is really striking. Where it goes from the opening to the ending is just amazing, like going from an inviting grin to a slap.
ReplyDeleteYou always manage to create a complete, intricately idea-box with the most basic tools and materials, Marian. Truly a gift, and lushly in evidence here.
ReplyDeletethat should be 'intricately *carved* -- operating on one cup of coffee.
DeleteOh my...sensuality bursts out of this.Stunning.
ReplyDeleteLove that open thigh image...perhaps fertility always comes back.
ReplyDeleteI love this!!❤️ Such a stylish response to the prompt!
ReplyDeletePeonies open like thighs is such a perfect description of their blowsy lushness........
ReplyDeleteOpen thighs.. I will remember this when it's time for peonies
ReplyDeleteelegant and luscious. and form. damn. ~
ReplyDeleteNothing wasted in Ma Earth's economy -- yet nothing not fully grieved, either. The compensation of ants requires a different mind to understand the tally.
ReplyDeleteStriking! And I realise I have under-estimated the cinquain form. It's beautiful in your hands.
