Fugitive Justice

Preturnaturally
weepy eyes cloud glass
blurring troth for triumph
nothing to be realized
at half-light

Minor-chord score
obscures understanding
in endless gloaming
all the sad songs are so sad
the dark places pitch-dark

There are times when all appear to be against the groove. Patience is most tested!

  2. "Gloaming" is one of my favorite words. It is so much more melancholy to me than "twilight."

  3. I'm intrigued by the title of the piece and it's link to the poem. How dark the world must seem to someone who is denied justice.

  5. Love how you have used the light as metaphor for emotions... it's like a Caravaggio painting almost.

  6. You are right... it does feel like that... dim, dark, darkest

  7. Your final couplet, has.. well.. a finality to it, a perfect epigram.

  8. I somehow feel like that. Troth for triumph is pleasing to my ear and intriguing to my mind.
