Peeking
thru sigh-lenses
blurs edges
convexes centers
like funhouse mirrors
bloated without context
It would be kinder
taking the long view
belonging
as you
photogenically
despite protestations do
Maybe try
a wide angle lens

    those "fun house" mirrors always horrify me - never really thought them funny. I will embrace the wide angle :)

    Ha, when I look in my NORMAL mirror, what is reflected back is like a fun house mirror. LOL.......wide angle, blurry lenses, neck socks. I'm up for all of it! Love your friend's great voice and music, Marian. Wow!

    I love the sigh at the beginning of the song - and love that you placed a sigh into your poem too... We sometimes need to be taught, or at least reminded, to take the long view.
