Daybreak Over Chicopee

Pink
line
between
    cloudy grey
& hematite grey
    constitutes earthly boundary,
aspirations too other-wordly
            for mortal hearts.

  1. Almost haiku-like in feel, but has a slightly surreal feel to it that I think a haiku would find difficult to contain. Chicopee has never been so beguiling.

  2. I love the way this looks upon the 'page'. Such a sumptuous choice of words.

  3. What an interesting tag-poem, "fibonacci" -- a construction of itself ending up "too other-worldly/for mortal hearts." Such fine, feral compression.

  4. It is surreal.. Chicopee has that quality to it. Unlike any other place in MA. well-written.

  8. This works wonderfully, a pause in the turning of time, a yearning.
