Fellowship (To Scale)

Turns out shadows
can’t be wiped off, dirt
resists extraction
even with sharp objects.
Just digs in deeper.
There is no relief
here; race defines you--
strangers, sisters
irrespective. Shit’s deep
and love is skewed.
