Pete Seeger, Thank You

Surrendering hate--
A practice
Many might follow,

In favor of love.
Imagine
What that would be like.

  1. Yes, amen and hey-howdy. All you need is love. Pete said it, too, in his own way.

  4. He was one in a million wasn't he? We are all that's left to tend the seed, but I doubt many of us are as good at it as he was. Those are really neat photos, Marian--and your poem is what he stood for, in a nutshell.

    1. i've been thinking that somehow i don't feel as safe with him gone. does that make sense? like, now who will speak up, speak out? i guess we will have to do that ourselves, now.

  5. It seems so simple when you say it. Makes me wonder why more folk don't try it.

  6. music is a magic shield, sometimes, it seems, doesn't it? with the musician / magician tending other gardens now - that's the loss, the feeling of being less safe? ~
