Dona Nobis Pacem

Myths beyond the clouds,
gods you pray to
for peace in our time,
fly homeward on bird-backs,
slicked & sweet,
swirling in your tea--

Real Toads are participating in Blog Blast 4 Peace. This is also #4 of 30 Poems In November to benefit Center for New Americans.

Instructions (it is very simple) and a link that explains the origin of the word quilt can be found at the top of my blog. In past years there have been participants from every continent except Antarctica. I hope you'll join us:-)

  4. Whew. Sharp! (I say I cannot drink the myths and the gods on this matter. We have to make and take peace, waiting to be given it has not worked. Of course, they could help with the inner peace we'll need to brave the rest.)
