Birth Order

When’d you go yellow,
little sister?
From every spunky
liability,
liable to follow:
Rang tang lullaby
mystifies, terrorizes--
Let’s imagine
a bad middle sister,
yellowish, libelous
Absorbing
all the apothic madness
so we can flourish.

For Corey’s prompt to the Real Toads: Liquor is Quicker

  2. What an amazing idea! Invent a person-like portrait of Dorian Grey? As a middle child, let me say that I often felt like a scapegoat, though I am the only girl and I am certain that my brothers did not invent me.

  4. Yes, so the older and younger can flourish. Ha. (I'm a middle - this is so tongue in cheek delicious.
