Pinkest sky
greets weary shoppers:
upturned eyes,
reverent,
supermarket frustrations
instantly released.
This often occurred on the way home from a day of teaching and meetings . . .
ReplyDeleteI actually love going to the supermarket..:)
ReplyDeletebut I have been known to look up at the sky in the middle of a parking lot and just be glad for the day, for the moment.
Love the way you write about everyday.
This is a form I always go back to--short and auto-condensing, almost purifying to write--it strains all those florid adjectives and adverbs out and leaves only the good ones. You use it beautifully here, Marian.
ReplyDeleteagree, love it! i put this in shadorma form because you reminded me of it :)
DeleteLike taking a deep breath! Lovely, Marian!
ReplyDeletethank you! the sky in this valley is incredible.
ReplyDeletesweet - I'll remember to look up at the sky next time out.
