believing in magic

Dear Santa,
please help me make sure
my child always notices
all the magic around him
even though he no longer
believes in you.

Mama Zen asked the Real Toads to share our letter to Santa.

  1. What a wonderful letter, Marian. Perhaps this is a good Christmas wish for us all?

  2. Ah, sad moments as slowly they stop believing... I'm sure you have taught him to appreciate the magic in every day.

  3. Good letter; good prayer. I have been impressed in this Garden challenge with how big a role Santa actually plays in people's lives. This is one of the clearest poems in that regard, and I love it.

  4. He seems so little to disbelieve. But the wonder and magic of Christmas are easy to infuse.

    1. he's nine. and perhaps it's more accurate to say he "figured it out," the Santa thing. and now i think he's in awe of how it has actually been happening, so that's cool. plus now he's a secret-keeper for his sister :)

  10. Oh, yes...
I remember my daughter so mad and said
    I had ruined the magic~
She knows better and I told her
you will find it, when you fall in love, hold
your newborn child, when you gather with those
who love you and see the wonder reborn in their
    eyes~
It still exists, we just have to look....
    and dwell in possibility ;D
