I thought it might be divine
to die here with you tonight,
my lips smashed against your clavicle,
your breath buzzing in my ear,
But upon opening my eyes
and noticing my glow-in-the-dark
SpongeBob SquarePants band-aided finger,
I realize I have more things to live for.
