DeleteVery apt for 4 July time of year, I'm sure. Yet there is something about this scene which strikes me as 100% true, which is in itself true to the art of koan: find the poetic in every day events.

I actually clicked over to read the Real Toads instructions, since I wouldn't know a Koan if it bonked me in the head.
ReplyDeleteWhat I do know is that I love this, for the contrast of Nature versus the homey image of a boy studying and drawing. Perhaps especially because I can picture that boy at his art table.
Ah, it's been far to long since I've had the joy of making magic marker fire works (drawn upon my spittle splattered paper) - thanks for the reminder!
