daughter, on the cusp

On your last day of five,
your geography of knowing
evolves exponentially,
evidenced by the changing
landscape of your laughter.

  1. Not only her laughter but her wonder. Her eyes will see differently at 6. Hugs and kisses for her birthday.

  7. I read your lovely words all the time but rarely comment, but I just love this too much not to leave at least a hello.

I always do a birthday type letter, but the day before the birthday captures all of the hope of the coming year just beautifully.
