magnanimity

What do you stand for?
Acknowledgement
does not mean defeat
any more than enduring
impudence with mildness
indicates weakness.
Are you outside your future?
Here is my box for storing
unfinished business. I
will stow it away with
heed, making it possible
to greet you with kindness.

  10. Ah... such control in both the message and your writing. Nicely penned, Marian, and nicely lived.

  11. Oh yes. Just because we smile doesn't mean all is forgiven. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. Stay tuned and sleep light.

  12. So real, so meaningful. I wasn't sure where the word "magnanimity" would take you, but this is it. Excellent work, Marian.

  13. I sooo feel like this on a lot of days. I hardly get my unfinished business into a box. It sits on my desk and talks to me in Swahili, making concentrating on work or writing almost impossible. and maybe its just that I spend to much time writing shitty reviews...lol. This had a hint of chaos mixed in by hand. Great writing.

  14. hellooooo.
those are some hefty questions. what do you stand for? i've determined to make a deck of 52 cards, each with a different aspiration/ value/ self inscribed, and i'll walk around with it under my hat, and when people want to talk to me i'll just tell them to pick a card. ... incidentally, and perhaps coincidentally, one of those cards is 'spends too much time writing pointless, shitty reviews that are way too introspective to be of any use whatsoever to the author.' .... i'ts endearing. right?

    anyway, this is fine wordslinging.
you've got a knack for balance and tone.
    wrought with heed, marian.

  16. just because we know our faults does not mean they have to define us. This is very interesting to think of unfinished business... being stored away. ha. love that.
