hushed

Watch over me,
crescent moon.
Venus and Jupiter,
please stand guard
as I whisper dark truths:
I'm not good enough.

But you are.

  3. I felt so overwhelmed by emotions when I read this. Beautiful. Makes one wonder, is there more to life than what we think we know? And then comes the realization that there is joy in not knowing. Thank you for this. :)

  9. Well, I think the planets and stars would be with me on this....you are waaaaayyyyyy good enough in my book. All kidding aside, this is pretty powerful, the set up was relaxing the second to last line a sucker punch and the end line epic cosmic props. I really loved the feel of this.

    and the universe responds.
be wary on crescent nights. the double-pronged moon is savagely sharp.

  11. Seasonal and beautiful. I too have been watching that moon and the visible planets. You've given them such a lovely tribute.
