heat del sol
accio mushrooms
harmonic convergence
souls meld
look at them!
wings to fly!
they know how to travel.

ReplyDeletethank you, wise old one.
ReplyDeletethis little poem was actually inspired by a documentary i watched about comedian Bill Hicks, who died in the early 90's. I believe it's called American.
Awesome!

ReplyDeleteFrom my reading of this piece, I would have to say that the two stanzas kind of work separately: the first seems very earth-bound, with the reference to mushrooms, and the heat of the sun; but the second is all about the sky, the way to heaven, the vision of something that passes out of sight beyond the clouds. I love the last parenthetical statement, which left me with the taste of longing in my mouth.
