how not to feel

here is what to do when you feel like this:
dress all in black, like wrapped in a shroud.
close the window against the gorgeous day.
drink at least three cups of terrible coffee.
obsess over every word & phrase in that email.
hold the totem from your child in your hand.
wear your hair up, let it down, & up again.
say things like SOMETHING GOOD IS COMING and
TODAY I'M GONNA MANIFEST SOMETHING GOOD.
treat yourself to a sweet confection for lunch.
listen to your favorite music. loud. louder!
let it all out. let it all out. let it all out.
