c'mon

like love
the waiting gets you good
aching like anything
wishing it would come, & hard

but to want that kinda storm
is not right
so instead say oh! so glad
she brought only heavy rains.

  3. I'm thinking of you waiting out the storm, Marian.. Hope you're okay. It certainly has engendered a powerful metaphor in this poem.

  4. thank you, kerry.
we are all good here, we didn't even lose power.
but there is terrible flooding in towns just north of us in MA and in southern VT. :(

  7. True! it's always wiser to yearn for a spell of rains than a storm.

love storms,... love the thrill and the alive hum of them,... but I've been on the wrong end of the damage as well

  9. we are fine, the worst that's happened to us directly is that my commute is longer because roads are closed from flooding.
but there are lots of people and towns who were GREATLY affected here.
