ReplyDeleteAlmost ten years later, after billions spent and too many lives lost, this is our great reward.
Worth it? Not even close.
(We won't even get cheaper gas out of the deal)

ReplyDeleteI understand the political and symbolic value. I also understand that some people do perpetuate evil and hatred. Intellectually, I understand. But I also understand the cost. I cannot celebrate. Feels wrong in my soul. Feels like we should be praying, meditating, focusing on being better, living lighter and brighter and more lovingly. I AM an anomaly, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMy sentiments exactly. When 9-11 happened we all cringed at the videos of "them" celebrating in the streets at all the loss of life. Yet here we are, looking just as savage.
